8-Shaped Self-Supporting Fiber Optic Cable(GYTC8A)

Colored optical fibers are placed into a loose tube made of high-modulus, hydrolysis-resistant material, which is filled with thixotropic water-blocking gel. The core of the cable consists of a central metal strength member, around which the loose tube(and filling rope)is twisted to form a compact and circular cable core. The cable core is longitudinally wrapped with a layer of coated aluminum tape and integrated with steel strand wires into an 8-shaped polyethylene sheath.

DETAILS

◆ Exhibits good mechanical performance and temperature characteristics.

◆ The steel strand wire serves as a self-supporting element to meet the tensile strength required for aerial installation, reducing installation costs.

◆ The material of the loose tube has good hydrolysis resistance and excellent pressure resistance.

◆ Filled with special grease inside the tube, providing crucial protection for the optical fibers.

◆ Double-sided coated steel tape enhances the cable's resistance to moisture penetration.

Application:  Aerial

Note:

a.The suffix Xn in the model indicates the selected fiber type, see Yangtze Fiber Model Explanation for details.

b.The color arrangement of the loose tube and fibers can be found in the chromatogram.

c.The minimum thickness of the polyethylene sheath is 1.5mm.

d.The cable should not be stored in open-air environments for more than 6 months, otherwise the spool may be damaged.
